Roblox is one of the most popular online game platforms. First released in 2006, this seemingly blocky platform has skyrocketed to digital success, now boasting over 115 million active users as of February 2020. People can play hundreds of thousands of games for free on the platform – and even create their own!

Based on the totally simple – but obviously successful – concept of discovery through sharing content creation, Roblox is a platform for coders, creative thinkers, and casual gamers.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of Roblox is customization. You create an avatar to represent your player character in most games. The more you play certain Roblox games, the more items you can purchase or find to customize or embellish your avatar. You can even create and upload your own custom-made clothes for your avatar to wear!

What are Roblox Music Codes?

Roblox music codes – also known as Boombox Codes or Track ID Codes – are basically a sequence of numbers that correspond to a specific song or track in Roblox. You play them using the Boombox Item, which is essentially a digital music player that your Roblox avatar can equip in-game. Inputting Roblox music codes allows you to change the game’s background soundtrack from generic music to customized tunes.

Do note that not all Roblox games will let you equip the Boombox. However, the more popular Roblox games often do.

How do I Use Roblox Music Codes?

As stated, the Roblox world you’re in should allow any of the Boombox items to be equipped. That’s the only way you can interact with the game code to change the music.

Before you can equip a Boombox, though, you need to purchase one. There are a couple options available and – thankfully – they’re not too pricey. The cheapest one (the Beat Up Super Jank Boombox) runs for R$250.

The most expensive, last we checked, would be the Dual Golden Duper Fly Boombox retailing at R$1,000. Pick whichever one fits your budget or your style.

Once you’ve purchased your Boombox item, go to your Inventory and equip it. It should pop up in your Roblox avatar’s hands or on their shoulder. Select the Boombox item to bring up a prompt. You’ll be asked to input a Boombox Code—i.e., a Roblox music code.

Copy the Roblox Boombox music code of the song you want, paste it into the pop-up text box, and press Play.

If you did all this correctly, the song you picked should start to play.

What’s cool about Roblox music IDs is that it’s garnered such a following, hundreds of fellow Roblox coders and users have created worlds dedicated to just listening to music on Roblox. From worlds that feature huge standing speakers to worlds that you exist in simply to groove to the beat, you’ll have no shortage of options if you ever feel like trying the Boombox item out.

Just search “Boombox” in the Games Menu search bar and you’ll get tons of options.

Here’s a step-by-step recap of how to use Roblox music codes:

  1. Purchase a Boombox Item.
  2. Go to your Inventory and equip the Boombox Item.
  3. Enter a game world that allows you to equip and use a Boombox.
  4. Select the Boombox on you Roblox Avatar.
  5. You’ll be prompted to enter a song ID. Copy your chosen Boombox Code and paste it into the text box.
  6. Press Play.

Where to Find Roblox Music Codes?

Thankfully, Roblox song IDs are pretty easy to find. There are lots of sites and forums that regularly curate the most popular or most-searched codes. Even the official Roblox website keeps a full list! Here’s what to do:

Visit the official Roblox Website and log in to your account.

In the Search Bar, enter the title of the song you’d like to play. You can even just press the Space Bar. What you’re trying to do is prompt Roblox to give you some suggestions.

Among the suggestions Roblox gives you, you should see the Library option. Click on that to enter the Roblox Library.

Once you’re in the Roblox Library, click on the Audio column. This will redirect you to the Music page where you’ll see a full list of all the Roblox Music IDs.

Copy the code for the song you want!
